Remember Remember the 5th of November
Now the clocks have gone back its officially Winter, time to wrap up warm, dust of those wellies and gather round a bonfire for Guy Fawkes Night.
With near every town, city and neighbour hosting their own event we’ve simplified the celebration by selecting some of our favourite across the country.
For those of us in and around London
Alexandra Palace – 1st November
Ally Pally’s fireworks are legendry, aswell as being one of the biggest in town its even on for two days. Timed perfectly to music by DJ Rod da Blak it’s even more impressive seeing the explosions over London. Get bored watching? No problem, there’s pagan rituals to get involved in, ice skating, a funfair, an entire food festival, cabaret and live music!
Crystal Palace – 2nd November
Heard of Musical Lightning?? Crystal Palace’s Fireworks Spectacular have nailed it! Titled the Lord of Lightning we are expecting mega oooo’s and ahhhhhh’s as these go off. As well as fireworks there’s a bonfire, street food and a funfair so fun for everyone.
Battersea Park – 2nd November
As well as being one of the biggest displays in London it offers you entertainment after the fireworks finish, continue the night at the adults on afterparty in Evolutions for the first time this year. Stock up at the bars and food stalls beforehand and (cheese alert!) party the night away.
For those of you in the North
Blackpool Pleasure Beach Fireworks – 2nd November
The World Firework Championships are back! Some of the world’s best pyrotechnic artists will be lighting up with night sky in a spectacular fashion. Perfect for the entire family and totally free the night even includes the famous Blackpool Illuminations, illuminated trams and live entertainment all on the Pier.
River Tyne – Fireworks at the Fort -5th November
Looking for something totally different? Bring your ooohh’s and aahh’s to the iconic Swan Hunter and watch the fireworks explode out of the fort!
For those of you in the Middle
Kenilworth Castle Fireworks Gala – 2nd November
Being the main public event for Kenilworth Castle you know its going to be good. With the Castle as a backdrop you’ll be entertained with a few warmup pops and bangs followed by the main event. Eat, drink and be merry with a range of food and drink tents aswell as Knick knack stalls.
Edgbaston Fireworks Spectacular & Fun Fair -2nd November
In the grounds the Stadium its set to be the biggest public display in Birmingham. A family friendly event there will be superhero characters including Spiderman, Iron Man, Wonder Woman and the Hulk! Not enough? Ok how about a LED light show beforehand from the famous cricket ground that hosted the Ashes Test Match this year?
For those of you in the South
Lewes Bonfire Night Celebrations – 5th November
Coined as the biggest celebration of the Fifth November in the world people descend on the small town of Lewes for the pagan festival where the procession included colourful tableaux, flaming torches and so much more. After the big precessions the crowd splits off to watch the different societies bonfires.
Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular – 2/3rd November
With something like 25,000 fireworks set to fill the sky it’s the biggest firework display in the South East of England. Held across two days with the backdrop of the Castle there is plenty of entertainment in the daytime there’s live music, falconry display and use of the maze then come the evening a Club Classic DJ set and a fairground.
Legoland Fireworks Spectacular – 1st/2nd November
Always wanting to go one better Legoland are promising an extra special twist this year with fireworks that turn into exploding Lego bricks! Plus, all choregraphed to music by the same company that put on the London’s NYE’s display…you know this is going to be good!

Marlow Monster Fireworks Show – 2nd November
In the leafy grounds of the Marlow Sports Club local businesses including the Marlow Brewery set up and serve local beers, wines and BBQ bits.
Fireworks and Bonfire Night at Hambleden Dene – 3rd November
Boasting about having a totally enormous bonfire this is one for us locals. Set on the Dene it’s the perfect family night with BBQ bangers and drinks.
Flackwell Heath Fireworks Displays – 2nd November
Perfect for little ones and larger ones, the display has an early showing with a smaller display and then onto the main event. Serving up beer, mulled wines and BBQ food.So many options!
