Make the most of your May

It feels as if the months are merging into one during lockdown, so we’ve found some things that you might love to try in the month of May to keep your days a little more exciting. Also, it helps with entertaining the kids whilst they are stuck at home.

Here’s a Friday night activity to add to the list! If you can’t think of any more questions for your zoom quiz, or you’ve binge-watched everything on Netflix, then get your problem-solving skills ready with a virtual escape room. Solve puzzles alongside friends or family to escape a room in a certain amount of time, it’s the perfect way to spend some time with your loved ones and get competitive!

These challenges usually take up to an hour or two to complete, and are available in different levels of difficulty.

Up for the challenge? Get your team together, grab a drink, and click the link below!

Whether it’s a BBQ weekend, a zoom catch up with friends and family, or reading a book, get ready for the long weekend! As much as we would have been wanting to be somewhere other than stuck indoors this coming bank holiday, you can make the most of your time at home. To help you out, we’ve added something sweet that you can try on the BBQ (if it doesn’t rain), and that the kids can get involved with!

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup of mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 1 tin foil boat

  1. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat.
  2. Slice one banana so there is a deep slit at the top of the banana.
  3. Using your thumb, or a spoon, separate the banana so you can fill with chocolate chips and marshmallows.
  4. Construct a tin foil boat that is big enough to hold the banana upright.
  5. Place the banana into the tin foil boat and place it onto the grill or BBQ.
  6. Cover your grill or BBQ and let the banana grill for 4-5 minutes until the skin of the banana is dark and the chocolate is melted and the marshmallows are puffed.
  7. Remove the banana in the tin foil boat Let the banana rest for 1-2 minutes and then serve.
  8. Best served with ice cream.
